Allied Motion Portugal, Lda has been established in the city of Vila do Conde, district of Oporto, in 2001, with a plant area of 4,600 sqm, starting production in 2002. The company initial name was Globe Motors Portugal Lda. It has been the result of a strategic decision of Globe Motors Inc, with headquarters in Dayton, USA, to create a new production site in Europe to support the launch of new automotive programs, producing customized Permanent Magnet Brushless Motors (PMBL) for Electric Power Assisted Steering applications.
Our primary target market is the vehicle industry, covering passenger cars and other recreational, industrial and material handling vehicles. Our strategic key capabilities are:
