Allied Motion has a long experience in the market of automotive Electrical Power Steering (EPS), designing and manufacturing Permanent Magnet Brushless Motors (PMBL) for such applications. Our motors are optimized to achieve the lowest friction, cogging and ripple torque, enabling low noise, low vibration and the best steering feel for the vehicle driver. A unique skewed stator design combined with our patented in-slot winding technology and overmolded solutions constitute our key differentiating factors when target is smooth torque, efficient thermal management and deep integration in the steering system. Fail-safe operation is achieved through redundancy in order to meet the technical safety requirements (TSR) complying with ASIL D functional safety. Each of our motor solutions is designed for high-volume production and fully customized for the steering system and vehicle requirements.
